What to do before hitting the wall?
Complete an online safety waiver (can be done in store)
Dress for a sporting activity and head to the gym. Don’t forget your socks!!
Got a big group? No Problem..
If you have 12 or more people in your group, please contact us ahead of your visit for special group pricing.

Pick a day to climb (we are open 7 days a week, check out our opening times here and our socials for specific holidays and events).
There is no need to book! Please contact us for special group prices if you have a group of 12+ participants.
Ensure all participants have dressed appropriately for climbing (no loose clothing, hair tied back, and don’t forget socks - optional).
Arrive at Urban Jungle IRC (83 Solomon Rd, Jandakot) and follow our friendly instructions given by the staff.
A staff member will take you through an induction during your first visit. This is where we show you around our facility and teach you what you need to know.
Lead climbing
If you already know how to lead climb, simply inform our staff upon arrival.
You will be asked to fill out a Lead Climbing Waiver and complete a Lead Assessment.
Lead Assessment Requirements
We strive to create a safe environment for you and your fellow climbers. Please ensure you know and can demonstrate the following:
Correct tie-in (with a rethreaded figure eight and barrel knot)
Correct belay device set-up
Safe clipping techniques
Avoiding back-clips, z-clips, high/low clips, and backsteps
Spotting
Safely handing your belay device
Amount of slack/rope in the system
Awareness of fall zones
Soft vs Hard catches
Falling and catching a fall safely
Safely lowering the climber
